Going To Church

This is my parish church, Church of St Anthony of Padua.  It showed many cars parked outside the church during mass time.  Inside the church was full of cars and these cars have no parking lots.  At other churches, similar scenes could be seen if the parking lots are limited like this case.  For churches with more parking spaces, you would see another scenario as seen below.

Vehicles are parked in the church despite the fact that there is no mass in the church.  Carpark charges are implemented.  People need to pay for parking the car inside the church -- see the charges in the photograph below.

Singapore is such a small country, but getting public transport can be rather inconvenient at times and it is still easier to have a car to travel around.  Once, Richard bought new cars.  Then I was pregnant and we sold the cars to lower monthly expenses.  After my second pregnancies, we decided to buy used cars (compro auto usate) instead.  My brother and Richard liaised with each other for this matter.  Back to car park.  The other churches which I used to attend was Church of St Francis of Assisi and Church of St Mary of the Angels.

It is said that Christians go to church every Sunday.  My family only went to church during special occasion like Palm Sunday, Chinese New Year, Good Friday and Christmas Day.  As the children grow up, each having their own families now, nobody goes to church any more!  The reason why my father stopped going to church was because of car park issues at Boon Lay church (St Francis of Assisi).

I used to wonder why christians must go to church every Sunday (I did not know that when I was young, but my friends told me -- and that was the time I came to know; but my family was 'special').  During the time when Richard had cars, we used to attend mass at St Mary's and sometimes at St Anthony's.  We did not attend frequently as Richard did not like it (he would fall asleep during mass during those days).  So going to church was praying and as and when 'feel like it' (inspiration).

Having my own children now, the whole family goes to church every Sunday.  Why I go to church?  I go to church to express my gratitude towards our Lord Jesus Christ who had come to me, saved me from my sins.  Why do I go to church every Sunday?  We are not God, and we are so prone to sins.  Going to church is to make ourselves 'clean' (spiritually).  Having a clean soul, a clean body, we can have a healthy body and mind.

For as long as 12 years or more, we did not have any cars.  Having a little kid and two elders, it would be easier to travel in a family car.  Richard used to look at used cars for sale (vendita auto usate).   However, it was not within the family's budget.  Now that Google had disabled our accounts, expenses are even tighter.

If your finances allow for a used car, then you can go to different church every Sunday or Saturday.  I would like to go to a different church, but since we got no cars, we can only stick to St Anthony's.  If you are living in big country like Britain, then you would probably search for used cars London or auto usate milano.    Garage Del Parco or garagedelparco.com is an italian website that deals with cars (buy and sell cars)  You can buy used cars or sell them your old cars even!  It is a business with experience of many years (since 1978) -- with experience, professionalism, and always attentive to the needs of customers, reaching high customer satisfaction.  To read the translated website, here is the link: http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.garagedelparco.com&sl=it&tl=en
Efficiency, competence and thoroughness are their trump cars to continue to offer service and assistance.  Look at the testimonials page and see what others have to say about them!  They are definitely safe, guaranteed and worthy of trust.

Final Testament

Unusual Red Paint on the stone near the Tembusu Tree at Fu Shan Garden

The Rock of The Church
I had been pondering for all the things and especially the unusual sights that I see ... and not forgetting the 'mysteriously book' that I had received on my way home from Marsiling Estate on that fateful day 29.9.2010...

Transforming Lives Through Knowledge
The book, titled "Pages of Knowledge" contains so much valuable information…. and it wrote: For all that you see, my love is willing, I love you for loving me. You treat me as your precious....

Enchanted Tembusu Tree
Yesterday, I went back to the site near the Tembusu Tree, where the stone was placed and the 'hole' covered by soil. Before that, I had saw the same thing, the 'red paint' on the stone. I thought it was some kind of red paint that might be washed away. But yesterday, I saw that the red paint was still there. I touched the paint and it was permanent. Examining the paint, I was shocked and surprised to find that the paint was actually those type of red paint (ink) that is used to 'write' on stones -- like those ancient Chinese shows and also those stones that I found at my school.

Instinct
In the Chinese show, Butterfly Lovers, we see that the love for the couples are so great that Heaven (the sky) is so touched. We see that in the show, the tomb was opened, the earth (soil) covered the 'holes' later. We see this in show, wondering if these are real in the real world. Looking at these unusual sight at Fu Shan Garden, and what I had experienced near and at my house, this is really 'Spooky' and paranormal.

The SPIRIT WORLD
This is so scary. As I was typing 'the spirit world', my door bell rang. It was a woman wearing green, holding a piece of paper in her hand and with a 'trolley' beside her. She asked about 还宝 (don't know if that is the correct characters I had chosen. But is read "huan bao", meaning recycle). When I said don't have, she walked down the stairs.... Now that I come to think of it, she never go other house to ask? Only choose my door???? That reminds me of the incident on the day I wanted to go visit Dr Goh Keng Swee at the Parliament House... the sixth day after he died.... someone came to knock at my door at around 11 am...asking for directions to Changi Hospital...

Ghosts or People
Now is 6.15pm. I came here to continue my post. I stopped at the above paragraph about Spirit World. Isaac woke up and I had to look after him. The woman came, ringing my door bell at 9am... spoken to me in Chinese, a fair lady... this is the first time a woman came asking for 还宝. Normally, this 还宝 job is done by the recycle company. They gave us a green bag and we put our things in the bag and just leave it at the corridor. They would come to collect, and I do not know when they would come to collect. This woman is not even a garanguni (the rag and bone woman). When I shouted for her to come back, wanted to know where she is from, she did not return, but continued to walk down the stairs.

Today, another man walked passed our corridor also, wearing red, in the afternoon. I think this man came to slot flyer at our gate, a flyer on "Woodlands Specialist", buy, sell and rent house...

Number SEVEN
Today is really such a special day, as it is the number SEVEN day. Yesterday was the NUMBER 6 day, the day where Kwa Geok Choo 'continue her journey', and it is also the BIRTHDAY of Dr Goh Keng Swee yesterday if he is still alive...

My 'Orange flower' also OPENED so BIG and nice...

The Bread of Life
Yesterday, I had a dream about my father and me. We were at a place, literally Bukit Timah. Over there, I was talking to my father at a place, but suddenly someone told me that it is time for Holy Communion and so I need to rush off, leaving my father behind, just outside the church compound. It is a 'blue dream', shades of blue.... I told my father to wait for me while I went into the church. The church is on my left. Surprisingly, when I walked to the church, the entrance was elevated and there was a steep ladder or something like that. It was so difficult to go into the church. People were behind me and I asked them to help me (Push me from the back)....

Fu Shan Garden
Today I saw that the cleaner had a change of uniform. This time, he is wearing the same as our block cleaner, the green and orange uniform. Yesterday I did not see him at all when I was at the garden taking photographs of the new 'restored' plants.

At Fu Shan Garden, I also noticed 'unusual' students, wearing their school uniforms, doing 'dangerous' things in the garden today...

The Bible
The Bible is the sacred book of Christians. It contains histories, songs and letters written by different authors, all of whom Christians believe were inspired by God. There are two main sections: The old and the New Testaments. A testament is a promise.

After Jesus' resurrection, his followers continued to read and obey the Jewish holy books as before. They saw these Jewish holy books as the word of God and they loved them because they predicted the coming of Christ. For Christians, these Jewish books became the Old Testament.

The First Christians did not write down Jesus' life, but simply talked about it to anybody who would listen. About 150 years after Jesus' birth, scholars began to create the New Testament by collecting accounts of Jesus' life and teaching. It begins with the accounts, called the Gospels, by Jesus' followers Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Gradually, other writings were added to the New Testament, including letters of advice written by the apostle Paul to the early Christians.

Today the Bible is published in hundreds of different languages. Everyday, millions of Christians read it for advice and comfort and for proof of God's love for them. They discuss the Bible's meaning together in Bible classes. Passages are read aloud in church services....

Originally the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek, but as Christianity spread across the Roman Empire, the Bible was translated into Latin. In 1533, Martin Luther translated the Bible into German. The first official Bible in English was published in 1611.
