Holy Week

Today is Wednesday. Yesterday was a tearful day. Last night, the song, Top of the World still filled my heart. This morning, as early as 5am, I was awoke. I was thinking of God's Love and how God communicated with me all these while -- Chiquitita, this song was the first that filled my heart with warmth and comfort.

This was the year 2007 at Church of St Anthony, the church where I go since I moved to Woodlands -- The Glory of God

I am very sad now, sad, thinking of all that had happened, how Jesus has helped me, saved me, and more. I have learned so many things.

Mary came to me. She taught me so many things which I do not understand at all at that time, and I was not moved nor touched, with no feeling at all -- Not understanding any single thing from her. But now, her words are of use. Her words are applicable now, and I understand what it all means.

Meaning of Good Friday

Tomorrow is Holy Thursday and then it would be Good Friday. Mary told me to go to her church. She was a Catholic, but she got her name struck off from the church, convert herself to be a Jehovah Witness, baptised again in the process. She told me to go to her church to experience, to see... Though I was not moved at all, and had no intention to join her, still, I followed her, to take a peek at it. Mary told me that Good Friday is the most significant event for Christian, the very most important day of the year. I did not feel anything nor know anything. How stupid of me, though I studied the Bible, and I had the highest score in the school. Isn't it an irony?

By Your Holy Cross You Have Redeemed The World
Mary explained to me about how Jesus has died on the cross using his blood. She told me about redemption, blood and sacrifice. But I could not understand. I simply cannot understand how this is possible. But I experienced it. I knew it now, and I know how it feels. How Great Thou Art! How Great Thou Art!

Palm Sunday 2009

On this day, 5th April 2009, the family walked to church as usual. On the way, there were so many myna on the field (the usual field, where white cranes were present).

This is Holy Week, a week that commemorates Jesus Christ’s suffering, death on the cross, and resurrection on the third day.

The Sunday before Easter is known as Palm Sunday, which falls on 5th April 2009 -- the beginning of Holy Week. It celebrates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey. Great crowds of people thronged the streets waving palm branches to welcome Him. The people shouted “Hosanna” and laid their cloaks and palm branches from the nearby trees in His path.

The church congregation gathered at the entrance of the church

On this day, 5th April 2009, Palm Sunday, the congregation gathered outside the church. Most of the people were carrying Palm leaves. I do not know where to take them, but in the end, I asked a little boy for it. That was the only Palm leaf I have (and I gave it to my mother).

I saw Father Terence. Wow, he looked so nice in the red vestment. It was such a spectacular sight, even though the children and I were perspiring.

It's so long since I last saw this cross with Jesus on it...
